I remember when Blondie and I wrote some slash porn about Tyr Anasazi fucking Trance and then killing her with her own tail.

Then we claimed Jen's brother actually posted that with her account.

We were the first permabans... on a board that swore it would never permaban.

We made Robert Hewitt Wolfe cry.
 
Oh! Trolling. I'm too lazy to look up that thread, but that reminds me: A few years back there was some kind of...I dunno, streaming?...show called "I Am Dave" and the character's nickname was "Little Dicky". I looked up when said performer first started using the name "Little Dicky" and when I started calling Diacanu "Lil' Dicky" and I'd used the term years earlier. Now Turdforge hates the idea of anyone making any money--particularly off of Turdforge--so I started a thread that I'd contacted the show's producers about it and they agreed to give me a couple thousand or something not to take them to court over it. Everyone reacted as expected.

So, TrekBBS used to have a sister board called SlipstreamBBS... dedicated to Andromeda.

Pretty active board. One day, and there's a huge story behind that, the Mod Lounge got leaked, and it turned out a lot of the mods were making fun of posters and actively persecuting some.

Hilarity ensued.

Admin Lisa shut the board down... mainly because she's a psychotic bitch. Most of the posters there started ExIsle to continue their fan wank over Andromeda... including one Javert Rovinski who was actually one of the offending mods.

That's basically it.

Yeah, what Coyote said to the best of my remembrance. It was an offshoot of Slipstream, so loosely associated with the rest of our boards.
 
Pretty much what Coyote and Kira's Tit said. Formed from the ashes of SlipstreamBBS, the offshoot of TrekBBS. The board changed hands of ownership over the years, and then it eventually fell to Orpheus. A few years ago he finally stepped away from the responsibility and let everything lapse. Some people wanted to keep it going, so they recreated the resurrected board and now what's left are the remnants of those who can't figure out Discord or Facebook. They even tried a discord, and tried to treat the channels as if they were forum posts... it's like your Dad asking "How do I rewind this DVD when I'm done with it?" (Something my Dad actually asked me at one point.)

It's not the same place it was years ago. I joined the new version, but I haven't posted there in two years. People are just having conversations with themselves, and Christopher still finds a way to pick every post apart and comment on them like he's King Shit because he's a published author.

Wow, Christopher. I haven't thought about him in years (since TrekBBS days, it's been awhile). I guess he's still a haughty self-important schmuck then. Nice to know some things don't change.

Edit: I'll amend that a bit. For the most part I got along okay with him and even enjoyed the books of his that I've read, but that attitude could use some adjusting.
 
Nah, fuck that guy. You try to post something like a review, which is a self-written account of my take on something. And this prick comes in and becomes the living embodiment of the "Well actually...." meme to tell you how you're wrong and this is how it really is. Like fuck you man, who made you King of the Nerds. There is only one King of the Nerds, and that is Wil Wheaton.
