Strange New Worlds season 4

Reports say: at the Star Trek: Las Vegas Convention, Celia Rose Gooding announced that, starting with Season 4, all the faggotry will cease, and everyone will be fucking the opposite sex as God intended.

I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that was the essence of it.

I'm guessing this might be a ploy to rescue this reasonably good show from cancellation. I'll have to hear more in order to make the call.

Did I miss something somewhere?

Pike fucking Batel
Spock fucking T'Pring
Spock fucking Chapel
Spock fucking Soong
Soong fucking Kirk
Chapel fucking Korby

Did I miss the girl on girl action? If so, why the fuck didn't anyone tell me!

So, I think a lot of the contention from some fans goes back to: 7 of 9 hooking up with a woman who looks like a crack ho... and now that I think about it, Raffe was addicted to something in Picard season 1, so... Lower Decks having some homosexual relationships afoot, the non-binary pirate captain, the insinuation that Chapel occasionally munches carpet, and apparently there had been plans to make both Una and Ortegas subtly sapphic (though not necessarily with each other).

The story I'm hearing is that some trans got to the mike and asked Gooding "will I see myself in this series?" Gooding apparently got upset and evasive, and told her that sort of stuff was going out the door and she had to "remember who we work for." Then she wouldn't elaborate any further, so it seems this is a sore subject in that circle of people.

The person reporting this said that the panel hall didn't have that many fans present during this Q&A, or at least nowhere near what would have been present if cast members of TNG, ENT, or other ST shows were there. The show may not be doing that well, and that's why Skydance wants to pull the plug with a shortened season 5, and maybe someone in production is trying to clean things up and convince them to extend the series. That's pure speculation on my part, so take that as you will.

Just an aside: looking at your list is hilarious. It looks like Spock is seeing more ass than any toilet seat on that ship. :D

Throws the whole "It's been seven years, I need to go home and fuck or I'll die." in Amok Time out the window doesn't it?

The writing for this show, and specifically the writing for this season, is problematic in my eyes. As I've said elsewhere, canon isn't the hard metric it used to be for me; this is a point though where the producers need to respect the legacy. They hit a little too close to the line for me sometimes.

I'm starting to think cutting the cord at a short 5th season is waiting too long. My only consolation is that it's way better than that DISC crap.

As Shat said, it's just a TV show.

To be fair, Spock boned outside of Ponn Farr in TOS too, this side of paradise for one, maybe that romulan commander too.

Leila, almost definitely. I would have just as a matter of principle.

The Romulan commander... I don't think they had time, plus there were more pressing matters at hand for her. There's some fan speculation that Savvik was the result of that union.
