Things you love about Star Trek

The search function for this board is horrible. Allegedly there are no posts that have "Star Trek" in the thread title after March 2, 2026.

But I digress, the reason I had to find this thread is to ask if Vulcans would wear foam clogs? Do Spock's socks go with Spock's Crocs?
 
So apparently Dayton Kitchens has died. There's a thread about it at The Other Place. I was about to make a post in it of "He's really not dead as long as he lives rent-free in your heads," and I realized McCoy's line at the end of ST II is a lot deeper than I ever considered, given the next movie. He literally really was not dead as long as McCoy remembered him.

Watching Heroes & Icons tonight, as I often do. It's the only way to get some decent Star Trek these days short of DVDs.

TNG is on right now, and whaddya know... it's the episode where a "ghost" goes muff diving on Beverly.

Always a classic, that one.

Edit to add: why am I not surprised Frakes directed this one?

Remember the episode of Voyager where the Doctor tours a for profit medical system, and after witnessing how inhumane it is he concludes the only moral choice is to pull a phaser on the CEO? Or the TNG ep where Riker and Worf go on a commando raid to rescue Riker's androgynous squeeze from getting brainwashed into losing their sexual orientation by their planet's state?

More of that please.
