For the first time in their 24-year franchise history, the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship, closing out the Golden State Warriors in six games with a 114-110 victory at Oracle Arena. The entire series was eventful, featuring nine starting lineups by Golden State, multiple comebacks, inspiring returns, devastating injuries and heart-stopping performances. Toronto taking a 3-1 series lead set up the narrative that the Warriors would atone for their own 3-1 misadventure in the 2016 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
 
15 things we learned from NBA playoffs:

1. Kawhi Leonard might be the NBA's best player.
The man is a killer, plain and simple, and he is walking proof.

2. You don't need a 'super-team' to win a title.
Granted, some things went Toronto's way. If Kevin Durant doesn't miss the Finals, who knows if Toronto wins.

6. Sixers not as far away as we thought.
Yes, the Sixers are flawed. Ben Simmons' inability to shoot remains a real playoff problem.

14. Draymond Green is still elite.
Draymond remains one of the 15 best players in the league.
