Duke Blue Devils AD Kevin White to step down in August after 13 years

Just a month after the ACC hired a new commissioner, its longest-serving athletic director is also retiring. Duke AD Kevin White announced he would step down in August after leading the Blue Devils' athletics since 2008, and university president Vincent Price said the school would soon begin a national search for White's replacement. "This unequivocally represents the most difficult professional decision that I have ever made," White said in a release from the school. "As I look forward to completing my 47th year in higher education, including teaching, coaching, and administration, it is simply the right time to step aside and provide a distinct opportunity for both new and different voices, and a more contemporary vision." During White's tenure at Duke, the Blue Devils captured eight NCAA championships, including the 2010 and 2015 men's basketball titles. The Blue Devils' men's basketball program, which finished the 2006-07 season unranked, landed in the top 10 in 10 of White's 13 years at Duke.

Duke Blue Devils fall out of AP men's basketball Top 25; Gonzaga Bulldogs, Baylor Bears remain 1-2
The Blue Devils dropped to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the ACC after losing to Virginia Tech. Their streak of 91 consecutive weeks in the Top 25 was second only to Kansas, which extended its record to 229 weeks. Gonzaga is now No. 2 at 87 weeks.

Louisville Cardinals ranked No. 1 in AP women's basketball Top 25 for first time
The Cardinals moved to the top spot on Monday, a day after previous No. 1 Stanford lost to Colorado. Louisville received 20 first-place votes from a 29-member national media panel

What are the head-coaching succession plans at Duke, North Carolina and Syracuse?

Gonzaga, Baylor top men's basketball Top 25 poll as Michigan moves up to No. 4
While the Bulldogs and Bears earned all 64 first-place votes in Monday's latest Top 25 poll, the Crimson Tide had the week's biggest jump by climbing nine spots to No. 9. That is the program's highest ranking since last cracking the top 10 in January 2007.
