And the "Masquerade" episode of the Boris Karloff-hosted series THRILLER from the early 60's.

This particular episode starred a young Elizabeth Montgomery and Tom Poston as a married couple that "take refuge in an old dark house on a rainy night and get more they bargained for when confronted with a family of extreme eccentrics." John Carradine, also stars.

Fun fact: The house also happens to be the same one used in Hitchcock's PSYCHO!

And the premiere episode of "A Haunting" on the Discovery Channel. SCARY SHIT!

Today, for the first time in YEARS I watched the MILLENNIUM episode, "The Curse of Frank Black."

Not a Halloween movie per se, but I LOVE the whole "Downtown/ Hypnos' Hideway/ Land of Death" sequence. Whoopi Goldberg as Death!

THE GRUDGE

Creepy!

And the 1971 classic, HAROLD AND MAUDE

^Just look at that bad-ass hearse!

Also, H&M is NOT a Halloween movie, but the pre-occupation with DEATH (in all it's dramatic and comedic splendor!) makes it a worthy film for consideration.

Winding down...

Watchd DARKNESS FALLS today. "The Tooth Fairy..." (*snicker*)

Next they'll be making a movie about a spooky spectral phantom easter bunny or some shit.

Well, gang, that's it for me for a bit on the "scary" movies.

Thanks for humoring me. :)

Thanks for reminding me about H & M, I love that movie, haven't watched it in ages, I think I should go and dig it out :)

Yeah, that's an awesome movie. I saw it for the 1st time back in '92, in my Film Criticism class.

Good stuff, and a great soundtrack.
