Have a mic and a music collection? If so you can play TK radio DJ and spin whatever tracks you desire for what will be your legions of fans and groupies.

All that you need is a cheap computer mic, the Audacity audio editor, a WMA to MP3 file converter for Windows fans and any number of free file hosting sites.

It's as easy as that folks.
 
Can you add a UBB code to put the media player in the post window?

Audacity is an great audio editor, I used it when I was doing podcasts. Very easy to use.
 
I have garageband, but when I had a PC I used audacity. Fucking great program.

I have a couple days off, and have a mic from when I played out that will work with the puter.

Think after I get home this afternoon I'll see what happens.

Didn't Peter Octavian put together some good "radio" stations a while back?

TQ said that PO has an excellent radio voice.
 
Yeah Peter had a TK Radio thing a few years back. The problem was that he choose a live podcast and was restricted to something like four listeners at once. He didn't have any DJing in it either.

I'm glad we have a lot more options now than we did back then.

They're "podcasts", you just link in and play. My two shows are over in my "n00b" show thread.

That lets you into my public folder...the two shows are in there...tkradio1 and tkradio 2. Each are about a half hour. They're kinda choppy because I was more into figuring out the software and I mostly just rushed it to get it done, but this next weeks show will be a good "upgrade" of that..so to speak. I did a lot of radio in college, which just means it was "live". This studio thing lets you script the whole thing, something I'm going to attempt this next show.

I had such a blast doing it, I'm working with the software now to create some real production values :D, next weeks show will really be my "first" one, and my goal is to do a weekly half or one hour TK show.

Thanks to Love Child and Foil, I'm figuring out Skype and Teamspeak...which should let me do "on-air" interviews of TK Famous Peoples.

LC, Foil, Dershocka and myself had a group live chat last night that seemed to work pretty well. Some bugs because it's more of a phone line connection (or maybe a microphone quality issue), but the four of us were talking to each other, all at the same time.

Very cool. Also very free :D
 
yeah, it was mostly LC's mic, but later she sounded louder.

yeah. I'm around right now. Let's do it between now (7:30 EST) and 9 EST. I gotta leave then. (meeting a friend and giving my parents a "Kickoff" party if yanno what I mean. Heh.)
