FF7: AC rocks. The story though, is nothing compared to the original game, but if you think about it, the game had 30 hours to develope the plot, while the movie had an hour and a half, so of course they couldn't have gotten as in depth with the story as they could have.
Its been a while since I've watched the movie, I want to wait till I can buy the english DVD to watch it anymore so I don't get sick of it before i see it.
The FF series is, I don't know. the NES 1-3 ones had no story, but they were at the top of their game at the time. I like them simply because they're classics. The SNES 1-3 were much better and had more of a story. The psx versions threw off the idea of crystals because it was getting old (well snes III did actually), and they moved on to something new, which was pretty good. They tried some new things, some were good, some weren't. Then the ps2 games so far have sucked. They made 10, which was bad, and then they tried making a sequal to it, which was even more bad. Then they made 11 which a lot of people don't play because they don't want to pay the online fees after they buy the game, or (like me) don't have a good enough internet connection.
FF7 as a game was good, but nothing more. As I look back on it, the whole plot was you following sephy around. Other than that though, it was brilliant. The characters were all static though and in battle the only thing that seperated them were the weapons they used, and their limit breaks.
