American Horror Story Freakshow

She sorta talks like some people in one of the religious sects in America, maybe not Amish, but one of those.

I'M GOOGLING IT :rwmad:

Kathy Bates? American Horror Story Accent Identified ? Flavorwire

To get to the bottom of this, we sent some clips from the show to John McWhorter, Columbia professor, occasional political commentator, and linguist. You might know him from his excellent TED Talk on texting as “fingered speech,” an elegant defense of a form of communication that is definitely not destroying the English language as we know it, thankyouverymuch.

After McWhorter got past his initial impression (“What a weird show”), he told us exactly what Bates was getting at. Turns out one of the guesses above was right! Drumroll, please…

“She’s trying to do Baltimore, especially old-time working class Baltimore,” McWhorter wrote us over email. “It’s a little shaky — she has a way of slightly overdoing accents.”

BALTIMORE.

EMMA ROBERTS FINALLY GOSH.

She was great, but I'm still not very interested in this season. I did like it when the clown kidnapped the obnoxious brother instead of the cute little girl.

I thought this episode was better than the last as Kathy Bates got to do a bit more acting (but behind a beard and silly accent) and the flashback bit where they explained the two-faced guy was just like the axe-man flashback last season (then again that turned out bad last season like everything else.)

The "To Be Continued..." bull shit got to me a little, like this is two parts of an _UPIC_ halloween episode. Strong man is a douchebag.

Neil Patrick Harris Will Guest-Star on American Horror Story: Freak Show - American Horror Story Community - TV.com

Neil Patrick Harris is joining the Freak Show. And no, we're not talking about the Oscars.

Harris and his husband, David Burtka, will guest-star on American Horror Story later this season, TV.com has confirmed.

Harris will play a "chameleon salesman" in the final two episodes of Freak Show, and Burtka will appear in the season finale as part of a "sexy storyline" with Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange), according to TV Line, which first reported the news.

Series creator Ryan Murphy invited Harris to appear on American Horror Story: Freak Show back in July, after Harris expressed interest in doing so. The two previously collaborated when Harris guest-starred on an episode of Glee in the Fox musical's first season.

There's no word on whether Harris will sing on Freak Show. Regardless, the stint could be a nice warm-up for his upcoming variety series on NBC.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD EPISODE. The moment where the guy shook Evan Peters' claw hand was actually quite moving.

Finally watched this last night and I agree, it was a good episode and I like the twist where that brat committed his first murder and discovered he truly enjoyed it. Curfew is lifted and shit should hit the fan again and I'm thinking this will not bode well for the freaks after all.

I like how they managed to let us all know how a good deal of them got their disability and wound up in the freak show.

I think Lobster Boy was really stupid smart-mouthing the cop about Meep when the cop was complimenting him. Very poor timing on that. If he wanted so much to find out what happened to Meep he should have played the situation better instead of pissing off the cop.

I must have missed Dot and Bett going to live with Dandy last week because I thought I'd missed an episode when I saw them there.

Thank you for that! I didn't see them going off to Dandy's either. I saw them in the car going off but I thought they were tricked into going to that guy looking to sell freaks (i forget his name). Them being with him was an interesting twist. Him outing himself as the psycho he is wasn't.

It was a slow episode for me though. I'm sad they killed off Paul. I liked how that was starting to develop. Maybe he'll live to spite Elsa Mars?

OMG Killing Ma Petite by drowning her in formaldehyde! How awful that was to watch TWICE! I loved that little girl. She was so adorable, loveable, kind and you just wanted to keep her safe from harm when you saw her.

And as usual, the love story is developing - it seems in each season that Evan Peters' character is involved in a romance. Wonder if that's in his contract and he's trying to be typecast as a guy to call on for romantic ventures in movies and TV? He is nice eye candy.

It was at the end of the previous episode. I think they just showed Jessica Lange ringing the doorbell. I CAN'T REMEMBER.
