I've only not seen the middle one of those.

It's not super well known but its a good watch, I only know about it because my dad showed it to me like 25yrs ago when I asked if he knew any good Roy Schneider flicks(Im a bit of a mark).

Airport (1970) and The Poseidon Adventure (1972) -- the first two big moneymakers of the 'disaster' genre. Also better than all the others that came after them. Have rewatched both dozens of times over the years, and I still do today.

I feel like I'm watching "Coffee Tea or Me" I'm only 20 minutes in so far.

I found a really obscure call-out to Airport in the movie Fred Claus: They cast an actor to play the Sleigh Ground Controller who resembles the Air Traffic Controller who communicates with the plane in Airport:

Yeah, I think that's what I was thinking of: the makers of Airplane! actually bought the rights to Zero Hour.

It was live and makeup back then...also good prosthetics.

1941 the Spielberg film he doesn't talk about, with a great cast, some hit and miss humour, and some good Stunts. Also Micky Roake before he ruined his face.
