Storm Rucker... We used to be friends. I hope enough time has passed that you can at least consider what I'm about to say with some objectivity.

No offense, but am I supposed to know who you are?

If it was indeed gul, all he did was voice his displeasure with Elwood and his decisions. He did not threaten Elwood in any way. Does he not have the right to voice his dissent, even if it's against one of your friends?

Of course he does. But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And if he'd been man enough to do it as gul, I'd have no problem. Stabbing him and evenflow in the back? Not something I let pass.

Consider this situation from *his* point of view.

Can't. I have a spine.

Try to *think* for a few moments, instead of feeling.

If you know me at all you know every move I make is coldly calculated. Emotion plays no part.

But like I said -- it's out of my hands.

Plus it helps to be card carrying members of Eliteforge.
Oh, no. Eliteforge doesn't exist. There are no membership cards, hidden fora, or days when one can spaz off in the non-flame rooms.

Whenever people are called on naming Eliteforge and producing real evidence for its existence, its always in the context of showing hardcore evidence, instead of simply saying that the rules are simply 'more fair' to certain members and not much more.

It goes back to my theorem about WF (Well, all boards, including this one) taking issues to such extreme black & white conflicts that the positive is always chosen.

Bollocks. Your whole vendetta was motivated by emotion. You were angry (an emotion) that your friends were betrayed. Out of loyalty (another emotion) you set up a sting that would reveal the alleged perpetrator.

I'm not saying you're right. I'm not saying you're wrong. But don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Who cares about the secret identity of DW? Why should there be any retribution coming?

Personally, I'd just as soon ignore him. But given the reaction he's generated, he just might be onto something. *whistling smiley*

I was thinking the same thing. Even if DW is a shit-stirrer, he must have touched upon something serious enough to make the staff so jittery, instead of simply laughing out loud.

I'd really, really like to see those Shelter threads released. Any day now.

I'll be interested in seeing how things play out over in the Help Desk. Storm's trolling of Gul has put Elwood made in one hell of a sticky situation considering the "personal info is so sacred no chances can be taken" reason he gave for banning GE.

Good point, actually.

This will be a test whether there really is a two tiered hierarchy in WF (There's Us, then there's the rest of the board).

And I didn't equate the observer system over there with Ex Isle's watchdogs until someone mentioned it. What a slippery slope they've gone down...

Gee, it's late at night yet i'm having trouble connecting to WF right now.
Every other open page works fine. Board slowdown for breathing room, maybe?

WF has more glitches and technical fuckups than any other site I visit regularly.

Occasionally the timing is suspicious. :garamet:

If a alleged former member of WF's inner circle can't complain about the way things are run over there without being considered a backstabber then the forge that we all left TBBS for is truly dead.
Personally, I think there's far too much importance on the issue of "loyalty" at WF between it's staff.

They want to keep their fights private, fine. But I've hear a few moderators talk about staying around a job they don't like or have grown tired of out of "loyalty to Elwood" And I'm like "What the fuck?" If you hate it that much, why not step down and let someone else who actually wants to do it take over the reigns? New blood never hurt anyone.

DW didn't say anything but his or her opinions about the situation at WF. There's nothing new about anything, no juicy secrets, no anything. And gul's been pretty adamant about this person's hiding behind a mask, and I highly doubt that gul is that much of a loser to interact that much with or about a dual he created.=/ And he's certainly not a hypocrite.

Not really, just find annoying the folks who come here to voice thoughts they can't bring them selves to say under their usual name.

Take a letter, Maria.
