Ash vs Evil Dead

I think that was his daughter too. This last episode's plot was very predictable, but still a good episode. Not one of the better ones, but good. The best part was probably the Ted Raimi appearance. Now all we need is Renee O Connor, and evil blonde Xena to show up, and have a Xena reunion.

Does Renee O'Connor still act? I haven't seen her since Xena.

They should get Kevin Sorbo but kill him right away.

It's pretty amazing how even a kind of mediocre episode of Ash Vs Evil Dead (the Kelly/Ruby stuff was a bit disappointing) is still far more entertaining than The Walking Dead!

Evil is a lot more entertaining than just walking.

...is the moral of the story. If the story was to start going about putting on airs and pretending to have a moral.

I was finding this season a bit disappointing for the last couple of episodes. The writing was a bit sloppy? BUT this week's was great, definitely back up to season one quality. So that's good!

Is there like some law that every tv show ever has to do the "main character is in a mental hospital!" story? This one was pretty good though because it just went for psychological horror rather than trying to fool the audience into thinking "maybe this IS the real world!?" And it had a funny puppet!

Yeah this episode only worked because at no point was the audience expected to believe that it was real. Plus the fact that instead of breaking free at the end Ash actually loses!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly which of the films the TV series is considering canon.

With the most recent episode, Ash is being told he murdered his 'friends' -- presumably, this is drawing from the first film for continuity.

But Evil Dead 2 retconned that continuity and trimmed out all but Linda.

On the other hand, Cheryl was also brought back for the series, and Cheryl didn't appear in the second film.

Additionally, whether we explicitly include AoD or not, the second film is where Ash loses the hand -- but the second film ends with Ash in the 13th century, which makes AoD a requirement for him being present again in the modern world.

I guess we can go with a fusion of film continuities, in which the first and second are merged but the ending of the second is discarded.

Puppet legs.

(Also I guess I was wrong about Lacey being Ash's daughter...unless he only finds out now, after she's dead. Which would be cruel!)

They were all stuffing their faces with Thanksgiving eats. Even Pablo. They had to sit him up in a high chair, and he made a hell of a mess, but whaddyagonnado?

Not to give away too many spoilers, but the new episode finally explicitly acknowledges the events of Army Of Darkness as being canonical to the series.
