Here's the thing: why would jack's employer give a shit what jack does on a message board, on his own time? Unless jack has something to hide, or was posting on company time against company policy, it shouldn't be an issue.

Far be it from me to put words in MM's mouth (I'd put something else in there...but I digress)...but when veiled threats are directed at MM, it seems logical she'd want to know the basis for these veiled threats.

Your average employer doesn't give a shit that their "people" use the internet during the day.

This has nothign to do with your average employer fielding phone calls from rabid teenage boys under the auspices of "helping them" by "ratting out" their employees.

"Mr. Jones I think you should know that you have an employee of yours who is using the internet in a manner your probably unfamiliar with and for which you are not paying him namely conversing with other people in a forum."

That phone call ranks right up there with sales cold calls.

Not to pick on jack - okay, maybe a little - but as I pointed out elsewhere this is not the first time he claimed people harrassed him in RL, forcing him to enact possible legal action of some sort. Then he threatened to drag a messageboard's owner into it if the harrasser wasn't banned. I mean, c'mon.
