I liked it. I did get the feeling that some parts had been cut down (Joss said his original cut was over three hours) like the Thor sideplot going into the cave with Selvig (SHOULD HAVE BEEN JANE) which was a bit confusing. It was kind of weird that Ultron didn't have a big final conversation with Tony when he was the one who created him (not that the scene with Vision in the forest wasn't good.) Tony kind of fell by the wayside at the end. And the part where Bruce just walked in and let Natasha out of the cage seemed a bit weird, like something was cut.
BUT YEAH I LIKED IT. Hawkeye actually had a story! He had obvious death set up then didn't die! That was very Whedon-y (as was have a character say a line early in the movie then say it again later in a different context right as they died.)
Quicksilver didn't have as cool a scene as DOFP no, but the problem with DOFP QS is that he was so ridiculously overpowered (he could bascially freeze time) that they had to just say "okay, your part of the movie is over now, bye!" and leave him behind after his one scene.
Elizabeth Olsen was very good as Wanda and I hope we see more of her (well I already know she's in Civil War but that might just be a cameo who knows.) It was good to have a female hero with actual super powers.
James Spader delivered every line perfectly.
Andy Serkies was good as the slimey guy and I hope he's actually in Black Panther with a sound gun arm now (otherwise it's a waste!)
I liked how there were so many scenes of them saving people. Like super heroes are supposed to do, EH SUPERMAN.
ScarJo's pregnancy boobs were...prominent.
So are there three SHIELDs now? Coulson's, Adama's and Fury's? Maybe AOS will explain!
There was one moment that got a very big reaction from the audience (which you don't really get in Britain unless you're watching a comedy).
Was it when Vision picked up the hammer?
