Did you get the extended edition of "Pegasus"? I still haven't seen that yet...

Anyway, as to Maelstrom...

I'm pretty sure she's dead, but that doesn't mean she won't be back. ;)

I think she is dead for all intents and purposes at the moment. She won't be coming back anytime soon, but the writers left room for her to be brought back without having to go really scifi and have a resurrection. The shot when her viper was exploding panned down before her cockpit was consumed and the Cylon ship flew right over the craft, so she could've ejected and been caught by the Cylons. I think they filmed that so it could be shown again from another angle later in the series, revealing she never died. The fact that it was left ambiguous whether the Cylon ship really existed is another clue, though the PoV shot from Lee's position implies it really did exist.
 
ooo forgot about the spoiler thingy.

The podcast makes it seem like she is truly dead. Also makes it seem like RM decided to kill her because he wanted to prove that he'd kill off a main character. I'm pissed because they spent all that time building up the idea of her special destiny only to have her commit suicide. Having her come back as one of the final five is cheesy. I do think she'll be back though.. I just hope it's not completely stupid.

Maybe they'll liven her character up a bit!

I don't think Starbuck is the only character who's supposed to die this season. WHO'S NEXT?
 
Oh, I think it's supposed to be

Roslin since one of the posts in that Sciffy thread mentioned a video blog where the actress was referred to as a future ex-employee.
 
shit! I didn't read that entire thread. That sucks.

Roslin is one of my favorite characters! I hope she and Adama can at least have sex before she dies. I also read something somewhere, that she is a Cylon. That's just because she has a dream sequence in that theater so it's probably just speculation and not a spoiler.
 
Oh, I doubt she's a Cylon. At this point, only minor characters could really be Cylons, or it'd spoil all their character development. And anyway, she's only tried to do what's best for the Colonials so far, if she was revealed as a Cylon they couldn't do a bunch of flashbacks reminding people "oh, remember when she did THIS?", etc. She hasn't done anything at all suspicious. The show has a lot of credibility because it shows flawed humans, people who make mistakes or do selfish things because they're misguided. Turning around and saying "ha! they were evil Cylons all along" would ruin that whole dynamic. I think Roslin will die(and soon, if they're really going to find Earth by the end of the season), but she won't be a Cylon.
 
I think, something happens in that dream sequence with Six and Boomer.. like Roslin's Cylon blood from Hera has caused her to project or something. That's the big rumor going around anyway. Not that she's a real Cylon but that now she is connected to them some how. There are also some really crazy rumors going around by someone who claims to have seen the finale.. says Tori, Anders, Tyrol and Tigh are all Cylons. Also Tori and Anders are having an affair. I hope that's all bullshit. Especially Tigh and Tyrol being Cylons, that would suck. But RM has said a known character would be revealed as a Cylon.
 
I think the Cylon will be someone who's not that important. It'd be a cool twist if it was Cally, actually. That would mean their baby was a second Hybrid. Hopefully it won't be someone like Gaeta or Tigh who don't do an awful lot, but are more interesting as flawed humans than as crazy Cylons. I wonder if the Cylon is aware of what they are or doesn't really know, like Boomer at the beginning.
 
If it's one of the more main characters I'd say they'd have to be unaware. Especially if it's Cally.
 
Ahem.

Last night I read some incredibly detailed spoilers on the final two episodes of the season. I believe them to be true, since they correlate with some other things I'd read awhile back.

I think I'll refrain from linking to it for now...you all might very well want to stay in the dark until the episodes air. However, if true, this promises to be a mind-bender that will put last year's ending on New Caprica to shame. It'll also likely piss off a large portion of the fanbase - again. :lol:

Man, I do love it when this show takes a risk.
 
I have seen those same spoilers in other places.. I believe them to be real spoilers.

Bear McCreary said in his blog..err or somewhere that there was going to be a musical surprise this season. I assume that's what he was talking about, but I didn't know about it until I read those spoilers. Definitely some freaky shit! Don't know what I think about Tigh, of all people, being a Cylon. I kinda had a hunch that Anders was.

I am spoiler addicted. I can't stop myself from reading them.
