You trolls have great potential. But you are too verbose. The trolling is not in what you write, it's what you make your victim write.

I'm 22, I live with my bro, I'm 6'1 and overweight by 20 lbs, I wear glasses, I catch the mice that squat in my apartament and keep them in coke bottles, and am exceptionally intelligent when it comes to puzzles and computers, and am drunk.

Troll me. Right now.

Soon Chadarnook, soon.

On the more serious note, there are two schools of thought to us: The first is the crass low end but incredibly funny, and the second is to make people's heads explode by interjecting something that is normally absent on any part of Bungie: logic.

The short one liners are considered to be lazy, or at best placeholders while you fire the real ammo up. That's just how we roll.

This should all be tempered by one saying: To each his own. :)

I agree. I see a certain pattern of "verboseness," (yes, that word again) to the trolling of bungie.net folk. It's really not needed. Less is more. 3/4 of the equation are discerning the spirit of the post you are trolling, the response it isn't expecting, what would piss that person off the most, etc. This yields short and very offensive trollish remarks.

Well, I know you don't prefer the verbiage we choose to go with, but when you've covered every possible way for them to fire back at you with (that's inside the rules), and you can literally watch their (your target's) head explode all over your computer monitor as they descend themselves into blacklist hell, and you have yet to break a single rule yourself, well, it's a pretty good feeling. That said, I myself like short one liner flames as placeholders, ways to keep the target interested long enough for me to whip out the MS Works, type something good up, and cut and paste in the real meat later.

You are thinking outside of the box. Kudos

What should my response be? Should I point out the fact that the bungie.net folk only joined us 1 day ago? Should I throw down a gauntlet that this is the "initiation thread"? Poke at your avatar?

I always see arguments as a sort of chess game. If you give X response, you can sometimes almost certainly expect a Y response. All you need is a strategy. I imagine it is difficult to troll someone in a situation when that person openly calls out for it.

In this thread, we can immeditely point out trolling methods which would not be suited for it due to the response they would generate:

Grammar Nazi Troll Post->= (My response) = "Are you gonna Troll me or what?"

Condescending Troll -> You have nothing better to do than ask for trolling? What a loser . . . (MR) = Yawn.

And so on.

My point is that you guys are admirable in the fact that you seem to be a tight clique of trollers who are much more likely to last longer than lone trollers.

Allow me to educate you.

Are you gonna troll me and make me care about our little colloquy, or not?

(I'll give you a moment to peruse dictionary.com)

We're not really the best of the best, to tell you the truth.

Our real overlords are master trolls with fearsome dark souls whose sadistic depths burn the soul when its dark antilight is shined on the pink flesh of innocent brain matter.

Also, we're pretty disjointed. I prefer the "paradigm troll," so I am a jabberjaw. I like to pretend like me and the reader are in a seperate world for just an instant, and the vision is supposed to make you laugh. It's like trying to craft an inside joke and inviting everyone in.

Sniper prefers the quick flame and gets a bite all the time.

(His problem is that he respects the rules -- my problem is that I am a huge prima dona and a bit too sincere, and the messianic complex has never really helped anything. But I do like long walks in the park and heavy petting.)
