TV Daredevil: Born Again

2.5 - Surprise twist with Vanessa surviving! I'm sure she'll go on to...oh, I just got to the end of the episode. Fisk is going to kill that doctor, isn't he. Great acting in the death scene.

This episode felt most like the Netflix shown since the return. Obviously part of that was having flashbacks to that era. It was nice seeing Matt and Foggy together again and Foggy inspiring Matt to help everyone. Maybe Foggy can come back as a zombie next season. I liked them giving Buck an origin too and bringing back Wesley. It was good!

The doctor wanted to check on her when she woke up and he wouldn't let her, this is on him.
 
I'm sure Fisk will be completely rational about it!
 
Fisk and Vanessa's love story was always so sweet compared to how evil they were.

I MISS FOGGY.
 
Gee I wonder if Jessica Jones is in this episode, what with the thumbnail just being her face.

The answer is yes, but not as much as you would like.
 
2.6 - Karen should have glued her wig on.

So it looks like Jessica and Luke had a baby (Danielle is their daughter in the comics) but then split up? And Luke accepted an offer from Charles? Can't they just have Luke as a proper hero again. His Netflix show ended with him becoming the new crime lord or something (they'll probably ignore that.)
 
It has been too long since I watched the Jessica show, so that was all very confusing.

I like Daniel's kooky mom.
 
She didn't have a baby when her show ended and she and Luke weren't together (they did fuck a few times earlier.)

2.7 - Poor Daniel, but he kind of knew what he was getting himself into.

They really need to end Fisk's time as mayor next week (the finale) before Spider-Man comes out because he's not going to be in that...

So Luke Cage really did join the CIA? That is, umm, not what the comic version would have done.

I agree about Fisk. They can't have the same villain forever, and he is too powerful. Matt is too stubborn about even letting someone else kill him.
 
If you liked Vader in a corridor, this is the episode for you.
 
2.8 - They do like their corridor fights. I'm not sure how Fisk just getting exiled instead of locked up works legally, but I guess every time they put him in prison he just takes over the place and gets out.

So Luke was doing the job Bullseye is going to be doing now? Murdering people for the gorvenment? Still feels out of character!

What happened to Buck? Obviously not dead or they would have showed it, but he just disappeared.

I thought that was Buck on the plane sitting next to Mr. Charles?
 
I liked the courtroom stuff, I miss that from the Foggy times.

Fisk was like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man from Ghostbusters. OF COURSE Matt stops them from dealing with Fisk :rwmad:

That was a terrible ending. Fisk gets to live on a beautiful beach and Matt is in prison. They didn't even let Karen punch Heather a couple times.

Maybe Matt will break out of prison next season and pretend to be his twin brother Mike who is also a lawyer.
