I cringed every time Arthur Darvill said something about being a "Time Master." I know it's a thing from the comics but it felt like a cheap Doctor Who rip off.
I'm not very keen on him to begin with, but aside from the time master stuff I didn't actually think the first episode was that bad. It was probably on a par with Smallville, and being a DC show I expected it to be. Can't say I'd want to watch any more, though.
I've watched about five episodes of The Flash and I am enjoying it. It's kinda camp, but good if you've had a long day and want to switch your brain off.
Plus they are on a time ship, instead of going straight to 1986 (will they cause a comedy Chernobyl next week?) why didn't they spend a few weeks team building in hawiee, then head out to do what needed to be done as a bunch of people who get on?
I still have to watch last night's episode, then I can comment. But I wills say that "Left Behind" squandered a lot of potential. It could have been a great episode of they spent the entire episode in the past. Got married. Hawkgirl is preggo. Palmer saves Kennedy. Whatever, the show seems overstuffed, none of the characters get enough development. And when the fuck is Amy going to show up to put Rory in his place???
