Donovan?

I saw Fiennes performing the role of Prospero in The Tempest at the Haymarket last summer in London. He gave a rather uninspired performance, frankly. :S:

Its it me or do you all go crazier when I go out for the afternoon, visiting my mom and going to a free Smashmouth concert?

Its a sad day when its Dual that salvaged this thread and steered it back to adulthood and intelligent conversation.:p

yeah, I've seen most of the well-known adaptions, mainly the Kenneth Branagh ones, of course. As with most classics, it's pointless when the movie doesn't make you forget that it is, well, an adaptation of a classic. The moment I watch it for its story rather than the literary value of the original is when I know the actors and director did well. It's the main reason I love Knightley's Pride and Prejudice.

Coriolanus has never been even remotely among my favorites of Shakespeare, but this movie made me reread it, and that's saying a lot considering the piles of books-to-read on my bedstand.

I'm gearing up for a little rerun through some of the films again. Had a discussion with somebody about R+J that stretched into other topics. Maybe I'll just start with this one.
