Today, the House of Representatives voted to keep Daylight Savings Time permanent in America.

I guess it still needs a vote in the Senate and for the "President" to sign it.

I will be glad that we don't have to mess with the cocks anymore (if it passes) but I really wanted them to make standard time permanent instead of dst. The sun already rises early in the summer, the days are already longer in the summer. Daylight savings never made sense to me. There is SO MUCH DAYLIGHT in the summer.

According to the internet the US has tried permanent DST twice, and both times it was so unpopular they cancelled the experiment. IT SAY IT IS TIME TO GIVE PERMANENT STANDARD TIME A CHANCE.

I'd be perfectly okay with it coming to an end one way or another. I'm kind of on the permanent DST side, I like it being daylight when I get off work, and I don't have kids who are trying to get to school in the morning in the dark. But that's just me. I doubt the bill will go through anyway, it's been tried multiple times here lately.

If it does then I can give Trump a bit of credit. And I don't wanna do that, either.
