One of the few Rammstein songs which sounds better in the studio.
 
I used to like them, but I've lost my taste for heavy metal lately.

They're one of the better metal bands, imo, because you can't hear how insanely stupid the lyrics are, like you can with the ones that sing in English.

Rammstein is sort of hmm.... they are capable of good music but it's like they're instructed to make their songs 3 minutes and perfectly radio-compatible.

What little Deutsche I've picked up isn't quite that advanced, lieber frau. Ich hab kleine verstehen im deine sprache.
 
Es tut mir leid. They sell mostly to kids. The songs can't be too long, or they get bored.
 
Their first record was very epic, very German. German in the Wagner sort of way... VERY German in that sense.

When I was playing in a ten man ska band (this was back in collage, right TQ? ;)) we had one soundman at the local club. He was this crazy little german kid who was a fucking genius at the sound board. The main reason we loved him so much was that he was SO very German and he stuck out in our little podunk southern town.

We would always play Rammstein before our shows... this was before they hit the states, as though he was trying to "get the word out" in this college town of 14,000. Classy guy.
 
Wagner had some interesting ideas about dwarves.
