I invited Ogami over quite some time ago, but he's an honest asshole...as opposed to a slimy fleabitten asshole like me... so he declined.

Don't get too torn up over Shal...she's typical of a phenomenon I've seen over time.

When I was in high school, there was a girl in my class named Paula who's father managed a big supermarket. Paula had an ok attitude, but she was sheltered.

At 16, she went to work for her father as a checker. Within 2 months, she turned into a total bitch-on-wheels because she couldn't handle the pressure of an 4-hour work shift after school. Yeah...4 hours...think about those 8 or 12 hours shifts.

She lost most of her friends, and her co-workers hated her guts. It got so bad that her dad actually fired her. The thing was: she honestly couldn't understand what the problem was...couldn't understand why everyone wanted to kill her.

She didn't understand that she had changed...and not for the better...and assumed that everyone else was simply uncaring and cruel. She's still that way.

Shal and others like her don't understand that EI just changed. It was weak to begin with...and a little judicious pressure here and there showed that board's true colors. We see exactly how nasty some posters there are...and a few mods as well. If you suspected it beforehand, it's evident now.

But sadly, like Paula, they simply can't see it. Forest for trees and all that.

I'm hope someone's chronicling all this.
