Even I piss off MJ fans....

I will not post the whole context of what went on at the unamed MJ board I have started to visit because I don't want trolling campaigns there, my loyalty knows no bounds. I just thought it would be funny to post this PM from the admin at the board in response to one of my posts outlining my opinion of most MJ fans:

First of all, I agree about misguided devotion. However, I haven't witnessed much of it here. Misguided devotion is everywhere in society, a fan community is no exception.

STOP with your apparent view that fans are misguided, obsessed, unobjective sheep. If that is your view on us, then no, there is no place for you here. Because that is just so ignorant, and insulting.

You have made only 30 posts so far, and already you have started 2 contraversial topics. For a fan, you don't seem to want to discuss the many positive aspects of Michael and the fan community very much. Why is that?

We try to keep it positive around here, but already you have started 2 negative threads. Try to look from my point of view, how would I see that?

And you seem to have completely missed what I said about that topic having been discussed before, twice. We've been there, and done that. We let the topic go on, until it was just plain going around in circles.

Maybe because this is my home board and has been for nigh on three years, ever cross your mind?

I didn't really have my trolling hat on but it seems that TK has made me a certain sort of way when dealing with other boards. I will forever be gratefull to this board because it allows me to be my usual harsh self without fear of reprise.


When going to other boards its hard to adapt to the totalitarian views of those that control them.


The post I made was a biting and scathing essay on the reality of a large majority of MJ fans. The topic was a valid one and was insightful and perhaps a little close to home for some. I also started a topic about the apparant anti-semetic comments made by MJ that caused a complete insane reaction.


The MJ board that is in question is a huge board with 100+ members on-line at any one moment. I post my videos there, I am not trying to troll (that much) I certainly don't want to be banned, it's a good board in many ways (for me) but I will not refrain from the controversial topics because there are so many and pissing off the deluded sheep that call themselves MJ fans is what it's all about.


It's a lot of fun being a MJ fan, let me tell you. If you really enjoy dedicating the time and listen and watch MJ everyday then it is a good life for a fan, there is a LOT to be involved with. Thing is most of the fans are insane, and not in the good way, hopefully I have shown those who know me that not all MJ fans are total weeds, but many are, and I call them on it at every possible eventuality that presents itself.

It is a very select type of community and unless you are a fan you will never understand the dynamic of the community. Some peopel are level headed folks who happen to be uber fans, some are complete nobb3rs who have lost all sense of objectivity and can not hear a single bad word against the man without bawling their eyes out and crying foul.


A weird situation, yes. Anyway, the whole fiasco has escalated with me calling bullshit on many fans while many more objective fans coming over to my side saying they totally agree with my views. I may have started a genuine civil war, stay tuned.
 
The early videos are truly remarkable. and Thriller is one of the better musical platters recorded.

But so what, he's gone positively loony in the last few years. He was always eccentric, but it's impossible for me to listen to any of it any more.

No shit. He is totally fucking insane. Still more entertaining than all these fucking rich celebrities trying to stay in fashion going to all their glitzy partys driving around in ferrari's and drinking crystal trying to be part of the hip-hop crowd. No?


Plus, I'm an obsessive nutter. My fandom is serious buisness. Trek, Wars, Cult-TV in general, on season football and a host of other things. I take my interests seriously.
 
Yeah I'm like that too. My obsessions run to old pinball back glasses, every recording ever done by Miles Davis, and women in short skirts, among many other things.
