1) The hole in the ozone layer and global warming are unrelated phenomena. Al Gore's issue is global warming.

2) The hole in the ozone layer was caused by CFCs, which had little to do with the size of the world's population. Since CFCs are no longer manufactured, but the world's population continues to grow, it's not reasonable to link the hole in the ozone layer to the world's population.

3) Taking your non sequitur to stand in for pollution in general, and even global warming in particular, these threats, while real and potentially disastrous, are nothing compared to the ravages infectious disease and famine wrought upon the human population in the centuries before modern agriculture and medicine were developed.
