Finally updated the band website

OMG this was the band Jack was talking about! Tragic!

Yeah, and you know what, Jack was their drummer, a band called the skins fires their drummer because of lack of succes, now what does that say about the drummer?
 
Dayum Jack. You do look like a felcher. Especially with that "Chester the Molester" 'stache your sporting. That slackjawed look can only come from YEARS in the back of the short bus.

Perhaps they fired him because he was the only one who couldn't pull off the drag queen thing? A little too close to home? Or, perhaps a little sensitive about his man rack?
 
I think it's the man rack or lack of.

Damn shame. but hey Jack not all men come with a big package I'm told. you just got screwed.
 
I quit that band just after T-day. I just met a couple of people that seem interested in starting up something new. It was a bar band that did classic rock and some originals. Too much talent to be playing the kind of dives the lead singer seemed to insist upon.

I played the drums a few years back : Tama rockstar 5 piece set with Zildgen cymbals. What kinda kit you working?.
I'm playing guitar now.
 
I've got an 8 piece Mapex mars pro set. Double DW500 bass pedal, Evans double head system for the drumheads. 24 inch Zildjian Brilliant ride, 12, 14, 16, 18 inch Zildjian crashes. Two djembes, an udu drum and a few assorted other bits and pieces.

Never tried the Mapex drums.
I tended to go for the Zildjian Z series. You ever check out the Piaste Rocktagons? They looked cool, I'm not sure of the sound quality.
 
The new paiste stuff is incredible, I'm considering a trade in.

I try to practice at least an hour a day, but you know how that goes.

Mapex is awesome. I bought my set just after Gretsch bought the company and started to turn out the same 12ply maple shells from Japan at about half the cost.

They're about 13 years old and are just wonderful.
