A wittily and informatively written article. I think I'd miss having an excuse to learn other languages, though. It's not so much the communication aspect that I enjoy (I have enough trouble with that in my native language), but it's fun to pronounce foreign words.
 
I was trying to describe TOS to a Korean kid who has never seen any Star Trek franchise or film, and who, mystifyingly, remained unenthralled.
I pity that child.

On this day in 1953, Cambridge University scientists James D. Watson and Frances H.C. Crick announce that they have determined the double-helix structure of DNA, the molecule containing human genes.
