No, there isn't one. Troll Valhalla is an organiser of brute-force flaming and spamming other boards. True trolling, on the other hand, is a solitary endeavour which always shuns organisation and direction. It's the difference between the indiscriminating destruction of a battle-axe and the precision of a trained surgeon's scalpel. Sorry, your "troll board" does not exist. Division by zero!!

Once you start trying to define a "real" troll, you've lost sight of what trolls are, IMO.

Hmmm. I'm a sucker for being a wordy mother fucker when invited. So....

The short answer is that there are many types of trolls. Anyone who thinks they can define a troll in one sentence is deluded. This is why us trolls always laugh at forum board admins who make a sticky post that claims to identify and define trolls. Somewhat related but off-topic here is that trolls are always defined by outsiders as "needing attention."

In many cases, this is true, but it is not empirical. Certainly, the worst response to a troll is no response at all, so I can see where many non-trolls make the mistake of assuming we're all attention-starved basement-dwellers.

So, in the interests of avoiding a 15 paragraph response on "what makes a troll," let's assume for the sake of brevity that we can encompass trolling into the following: those who desire to shake up the groupthink and/or expand the focus of others to include unconventional thinking (this would then include spammers, flamers, issue trolls, humor trolls, etc)

Thus, when I ask about a "troll site," I am asking about a forum where like-minded trolls gather. I lost my home and have made one here, but TK isn't really a troll site. It's more of a "pwn" site. I need to find a real troll site, a home - someplace where other like-minded trolls gather to share and enjoy trolling other boards.
 
But this brings up another avenue of defining what makes a good troll and what makes a bad troll.

Is it the end result that should be seen as the only indication of a good troll? - I'm sure there are arguments for that but then where does skill come in to it?

Shaking the pot isn't very hard. You can achieve a result that will "annoy" people in a number of different ways. Are those people trolls? Probably, yeah. But despite the end result it doesn't necessarily make them good at what they do. I can draw a fantastic picture if I'm tracing someone elses fantastic picture. Drawing one from scratch is a little harder to pull off and the end result may be similar but the one that took more skill should be applauded more. Not the best analogy, but whatever.

Flaming a site is a no brainer. People are idiots so you can get good reactions and mileage out of it but it doesn't make it a good troll.
 
I like the ones where the troll makes an intelligent and well-worded post that gets people who are normally united on an issue to waver and then shift their opinion, resulting in a heated debate among the "regulars" while the troll sits back quietly watching and laughing, having no need to make a followup post.

Fuck, we can use the Gutters for a secret forum, since most everyone has it on ignore anyway :D

I like trolling, I just don't like getting even for other people when I dont even know why.
 
I did a search for troll sites and out of hundreds of sites scanned came up with one: Troll Kingdom.

All the others are about how non-trolls think they've got trolls figured out. Not even Troll Valhalla was listed - nor Brawl Hall. Someone has to know of another troll site? 6 billion people in the world and only 3 known troll sites?!

This sucks.
