Looks like Cait's claiming the board is closed off to guests for "technical reasons" although it's nice timing on their part.
 
Oh, c'mon. Cait has been around these boards long enough to know that "technical difficulties" isn't fooling anyone. I'm disappointed. I thought she had more savvy than that.

She closed down the board to prevent troll attacks. Her choice, and probably a smart one...

But stop bullshitting the facts.

Because if she bullshits non members, what's to stop me from believing she bullshits her own members, as well? Who would want to be a member of a board whose admins don't think twice about screwing you over?

Isn't that what her little jihad against EI was all about? Lying admins and unfair actions? Seems to me she went native with that shit. She's being a hypocrite, and adopting the very principles she claimed to be against.

If you adopt a mode of behavior, be prepared to take on the consequences of that mode of behavior.

Because it's her site, and she pays the bills. Plus she isn't asking you to join - or inviting you.

ExIsle was not Caitriona's site, nor did she pay the bills. She felt entitled, however, to exhaustively challenge the administration over there to the point of posting an excerpt of a personal, off-site blog of a member...simply because she was being talked about in a derogatory manner.

Again, I ask. Why would she expect her decisions not to be challenged, when she did quite a bit of challenging herself? "It's her site" didn't wash with her when it came to other boards, so why should it apply to hers?

As for my joining, I've already stated the duplicity of the administration at SC has made that site undesirable for me as a place of enjoyment.

Gagh, you are an intelligent man, so I am assuming you are being deliberately obtuse.

Go back and re-read my last 2 or 3 posts. Then I will be happy to address any issues I have not already addressed. :)
 
She explains the technical issues in the Announcements thread, I don't see anyone posting that. Truth is she never knew the technical side of adminning all that well, and she's choosing to keeps things more closed than open until she can get someone to help her learn how to customize viewing for different fora. Hambil doesn't have as much time as he used to for boards in general.

No one was in a rush to quote that here, tho, since it prevents her from being painted a certain way. Not that I think she's without fault, but there's more to this than what I've read in here so far...
