I haven't seen the final episode, but it was pretty... Ok. It had quite a few new characters who were just discovering their powers, so it had that season one vibe. But it also had an evil corporation with mysteries that were dragged out for too long to hold your attention, like all the other seasons.
The most impressive thing for me was how technically similar it was to the original show. Everything from the lighting, to camera movements and editing were very faithfully replicated. It was like no time had passed. I don't know if the crew were largely the same, but it felt like it. Not saying it's a style that was worth adhering too, but I appreciated how well it was done.

The bit where they showed her corpse (but only her forehead, as they couldn't afford an entire Hayden Panietere) was the lamest part. She died in childbirth, so there was so reason for HRG not to pull back the covers and see his little Clairebear's face one last time.

She gave birth to twins, with the boy having the same power that Peter had. He 'stole' her power as he was born, thus making her vulnerable.

I saw the first one, and was that bored by it, that before I knew it, my skybox had four more unseen episodes on it.
I decided to just delete them and get rid of the series link, who knows, maybe it got better, but if the idea of a first episode is to make you watch next weeks, they didn't do a great job.

I don't know if it was worth my time, but it was pretty much what I'd expected. Just like the old show after season 1 when it was all about conspiracies and exploitation of people with powers and not so much about how cool it'd be to have them. I never did see the final episode, though.
