Can't speak for others, but I at least never considered the possibility all that seriously that you were responsible for it. For that matter, given the evidence I saw at the time, I wasn't convinced the lounge was hacked at all.

Nothing i've seen in the intervening years has particularly dissuaded me of that opinion.

So no, I never blamed you for that, or thought you were responsible.

Over and over again people have let you know that one single, solitary email would probably be enough to resolve the issue, and you have steadfastedly refused to do that while spending a signifigant amount of time and energy venting your spleen against Exisle.

And one single, solitary email/PM from the staff to HF would have prevented this whole thing from happening.


It was THEIR choice Gode, the EI staff made this mess alone.

Well, thanks for the benefit of the doubt then.

I don't know if it was a hack, a leak, or just plain old password guessing that opened up the OQ, but as much as I'd like to be able to condemn the act I really can't...

It proved me so absolutely right about the conspiracy to get me at the SS that no one could ever deny the facts again.

Not even Rov, the greatest contributor to the plan...

I love it when shit like that happens. Truth always finds a way to come out.

I suppose after the fact, neither can I. For the record, I have always believed it was an inside job, simply because of the incosistencies in HTML code of the leaked threads. Some of them had coding that no longer existed due to progressive upgrades of the board software and must therefore have been downloaded prior to those upgrades and a very long time before the threads were leaked.

Doesn't feel like the behaviour of a hacker who would bother to break into SSBBS OQ on a regular basis for almost a year.

Whose choice was it to make an e-mail the only option to resolve this?

Everyone knows my story and everyone knows this is HF even if they pretend that they do not, like Orph.

There is absolutely no reason to keep me banned except that you just want to keep me banned.

An e-mail proves nothing.

I could be an evil password guesser that showed up on the day in question with my encyclopedic knowledge of all things HF and started down a list of possible passwords until I git it right. Then I changed my e-mail to one that I had just created at hotmail.

I AM the evil motherfucker you seek, not HF at all!!!

Then I e-mail you from my bogus e-mail address to make it all right and we go on like nothing happened eh?

Paranoia can take this anywhere you want it to go Gode and I don't feel the need to be called on the carpet by Orph and his bullshit theories to explain myself to him.

He is the one that made the bullshit story up in his own head. The staff banned me for said bullshit story and I have to be the one to come crawling to you?

Let me be quite clear on this, because one of the reasons I came to TK was so that you could understand where I stand on this, because I find myself being misunderstood on occasion, and I'd like to avoid that.

I believe this is the real you. Whatever doubts I might have initially had, I do not have them now, nor have I for a while, and yet posting your story one one messageboard, and expecting the staff to react to that on another messageboard is just bad policy and a bad precedent to set.

I'm not asking you to come crawling, or begging or pleading, only that you meet us half way. And whether you disagree with me on whether you should have to meet the EI staff halfway, or where halfway lies, nothing will get resolved while you are willing to only use TK as a mouthpiece for your complaint.

I get your point, I truly do and part of me wishes I could turn back the clock, but it's an imperfect universe. I'm trying to resolve the issue now, and that is extremely unlikely to happen unless you're willing to contact the staff directly.
 
Halfway would be the staff contacting ME.

They did as much for that spamming fucktard over there just yesterday.

Why can't they now send me a god damned e-mail informing me of a ban and then explain their bullshit dual theory?

Why couldn't they do that BEFORE they banned me?

What difference would that have made? Except maybe avoiding a WHOLE lot of ugliness.

Even now my e-mail box sits empty...

Well, Rhea has become EI's unofficial staff cheerleader. In her eyes, they can do no wrong. That's a terrible way of thinking since it is simply blindly going along with anything without thinking for ones self whether or not something was done right or wrong.

She's also immune to warnings because of it. She's brought up things from other boards, which is an EI no-no, several times, and nothing was done about it.

Not saying EI staff is evil, just saying that it isn't wise to go "ra-ra-ra" everytime a staff member says something.
 
Personally, I usually stay mostly in the background on message boards so I usually go unnoticed most of the time.

It's how I like it.

As for the OQ, I don't have a clue what happened, all I know is the board was shut down one day when I went there. I don't think I heard anything about a hacking or leak or whatever. I guess I just didn't read the right stuff.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
