I actually prefer using lift, even though that's not in the regional dialect.

Turbolift.
 
It's funny how turbolifts actually take quite a long time to get where they're going (for plot reasons, so that the characters can have conversations in the lifts.) NOT VERY TURBO LOL CHARLIE AND THE GREAT GLASS ELEVATOR.
 
It would be nice if on one trek show, the characters would say "fuck it, we need the exercise, lets take the stairs."
 
They did not have stairs.
 
I went with "Elevator" btw.

I pronounce it "lift", but sometimes I find myself saying elevator because I've recently watched a brainwashing American TV show.
