I Answer All Questions About LOST

How long ago was "the purge" supposed to have been? For some reason from the way Ben was talking I got the impression that it was quite recent, but it must have been AT LEAST sixteen years ago because Ben didn't seem to have Alex at the time and I doubt Dharma were in the business of abducting babies.

What was the "sickness" that killed Danielle's people?

Why did the Others allow Dharma to keep staffing The Swan station?

Why did Dharma keep dropping off food parcels on the island? Why didn't they try to retake control from the others?

WHAT DID THE NUMBERS MEAN!?

Right now, I'm guessing about 20 years. Do keep in mind that there may be some funky shit going on with time on this island. The next season should address this.

What was the "sickness" that killed Danielle's people?
Danielle's craziness is what killed them. Supposedly one of the first eps this coming season addresses this.

Why did the Others allow Dharma to keep staffing The Swan station?
So that the shipments would keep coming and Dharma would leave the island alone.

Why did Dharma keep dropping off food parcels on the island?
They've lost track of exactly how to get to the island, but kept resupplying because they don't know their people have been slaughtered.

Why didn't they try to retake control from the others?
Because they don't have that specially equipped sub that can endure the ride to the island.

WHAT DID THE NUMBERS MEAN!?
They are the six constants in the Valenzetti Equation that DHARMA was attempting to change in order to lengthen the span of human civilization on Earth.

I can buy all that but the last one (I know it's from the Lost Experience but I think the producers are tying to come up with a better explanation and that's why it hasn't been revealed in the show yet.) Maybe the food supply planes are ROBOT PLANES or something.

So, Jacob...ghost pirate?

Hilarious, since the last one I mentioned is the only one I'm absolutely sure of.

So, Jacob...ghost pirate?

Stuck between time frames... translation: your guess is as good as mine.

They'll find another comic book:

And it only has four toes!!! :D

Remember (from the second season) the hieroglyphs that showed on the counter when the timer had run down and that bunker was about to blow? Maybe this statue is the remains of something from Ancient Egypt, like a representation of Horus or Bast or some other animal-god, which might explain the four toes.

Watched the season 4 finale last night. Some of the preview clips were intriguing, and the "sneak peek" with Hurley & Sayid was badass...I'm gonna love it when that cell-phone pic of Hurley holding a gun on the balcony hits the news and suddenly the Oceanic Six become the Symbionese Liberation Army.

And we're back.

Seems a lot of speculation over time was wrong.

Season 6 premiere tonight was awesome shit.

Discussion and questions are welcome.

Could we get this stickied again, please?

It's Taweret the fertility goddess.

(Of course we hadn't actually seen the statue when Shitty Dual made that post, just the foot.)

I wonder if the whole thing about babies not being able to be born on the island (unless they were conceived off island) will be relevant again? It hasn't come up since Sun's pregnancy.

Not to mention "the sickness" and that mysterious vaccine that Desmond was taking in the Swan Station...but really no one cares about that so it probably wouldn't be worth explaining.

They pretty much explained the vaccine off when they explained that pushing the button was a psychological evaluation by entering the Pearl station. Therefore, I believe the "vaccine" was actually a placebo.

Desmond said it was just water, but I'm not too sure.

Incidentally, supposedly the only topics covered this last season will be ones directly related to the 815 passengers, so a lot will be left up to fan speculation.

So who else thinks the Smoker Monster is a fallen angel (possibly Satan himself) and the "home" he wants to return to is Heaven, but if he does return it'll end the world (like Dogma)?
