I can't sleep

Passenger.
Delivers mail and groceries for those that live at the other end of the lake and a boat ride for tourists and hikers.
The only way in is by boat, seaplane or helicopter or hike 40 something miles
 
When I do get to sleep I've been sleeping really well.
Woke up with deep pain in my throat and chest.
 
I think falling asleep with an ice pack on my chest earlier was the mistake that caused the pain in my chest. Its like breathing in that cold northern snow. Brrr
So I made a warm compress and some hot cider to sip on.
I managed to change my bed sheets.
I thought I coupd do some laundry, but that seems daunting.
 
I do breathing when I want to go back to sleep...when I'm not taking CBD that is.

Breathe in and count to 4. Breathe out to 4. Pick a relaxing rhythm and focus on your breath.

Breathe in 4 breathe out 6

Breathe in 6 breathe out 8

8 - 10

10 - 12

repeat the last one and reverse the process.

You'll be asleep pretty soon if you stay focused on the breathing while relaxing into rest.
 
Thanks. I've been doing breathing meditatively to prevent myself from coughing.
I am more using this thread now as an I'm sick" thread. Lol that sounds funny.
I've probably got better sleep in short intervals this week than I have in a long time.
I managed to change my bedding
Take 2 loads to the laundry and take a shower
I feel better now
 
If you have Alexa ask her to play " meditation on Amazon dot com"
Its a nice station. And free if you dont have premium
 
My fitbit has a breathing thing that matches your heart rate to this pulsing circle on the watch face. Seems to work pretty well. It also has a whole meditation/relaxation program.

and.....CBD helps in a pinch, expecially if the sleep interruption is caused by anxiety.
 
I'm so glad I wrote all this stuff down.
I'm at the clinic waiting for them to reopen after lunch and looming at my posts trying to remember how I was feeling.
