a family member

who invites us places
and we used to say, "sure that sounds like fun"
not realizing it was something we had to set in stone
then he gets a fucking resentment because we didn't call him back
when he could have called us back
and he has done this to 3 of us now
he has a chip on his shoulder
im not saying i am perfect
but I am just saying, I think there is a better way of going about this

And then there were the people I invited to the party. NO one showed! I mean I had 30 people there or so, and it was great, but there were about 10 people that I invited from my previous work and not one of them showed or called.

At first I was glad-because I was like, Okay it worked out because I visited with relatives and friends I hadn't seen in a while-but then to not even get a phone call from one of them?!?!?!

Yeah something similar happened to me when I invited my sister-in-law's male relatives to my second oldest brother's bachelor party and not one of them bothered to RSVP or call and explain why they couldn't come. It was very awkward when I saw them at my sister in law's niece's birthday party being held earlier that same day....which is the reason most of them gave as the reason for not being able to attend the bachelor party taking place AFTER the niece's birthday party.
