The scroll wheel is very smooth.

The side thumb button is also very useful. I haven't decided what to assign to the other side button.

I like my wireless mouse but it is heavy from the batteries. Is there a lighter model than Logitech?

I don't know how heavy the logitech is, but my Microsoft Wireless Laser 8000 is pretty light. It has one rechargeable AA battery that lasts like 100 hours. Two AAs would definitely be annoying.

You know, dropping my mouse on the floor isn't really a problem for me because I'm not a blithering, unemployed drunk.
