Identify this:

Bump attempt. I'd have to dig through some files to remember what that large sculpture is (the one before the map, which I do remember --hint: it's a real place.)

I should say it's a glass slide mounted between two parts of a handle or fastening. Either a glass tabletop or a glass door. Or possibly one of these glass shelves in the bathroom, usually mounted under a mirror, onto which you can put your stuff (sorry, don't know what they are called in English)
 
as for the previous 2:
no idea about #1, but judging by size and style I'd say made by an American artist.

#2 is a map of what was formerly called Celebes and is now known as Sulawesi

(post #261) This will likely give it away, but in the spirit of getting this thread moving again: one of the objects you're looking at isn't solid.
 
A reminder: if you read the "rules" at the beginning of the thread, fuggedabowdit --they are suspended indefinitely. Call of Nature would normally be given a turn to post something in return for guessing one right, but anyone can post any ol' thing whenever they want. Just remember to change the filename before hosting it, in case it gives it away.

Found the solution (hehe) to 261.
In case anybody else wants to have a go at it, I'll put it in spoiler tags

It's a drop of ferrofluid on a glass plate with a magnet underneath

Those are the rings of Saturn, seen edge-on (or nearly so) with the planet in the foreground (presumably the night-side).
 
#272: grrrrr, I don't even know if that is a real one or not. *hits google again*

#275: heheee, I know exactly what that is.... but since I don't have a new pic to present, I'll just sit back and wait if someone else wants to try.
 
I'm pretty sure I know what #275 is also but I still need to sign u for picture hoster or photobucket so I can post pictures(plus its more fun to post youtubes and get a rise out of Dr Dave anyway) so I'm not going to post my guess.
 
eh, just guess away, someone else will just step up and post a new image... and there is still SB's pic to identify, anyway :D
