I don't. It's the very source of the antagonism. Like you stated, it's hard to tell when he's being serious or not. This could be one big troll, or it could be a failed attempt to drive home his point, which BTW Hambil, will never be understood and never be taken into consideration until both of you choose to have some meaningful dialogue. The Question said:Personally, I think it's cute when he does that -- digs himself a little hole and only when he gets to the bottom does he discover that he hasn't packed the gear to haul his ass back out again.
I don't think they are responsible for this particular mishap. Though they should still hang.Hambil said:It's those damn commie jews I tell you!
You want my point? There is no jewish conspiracy. There is no communist conspiracy. There is a concerted effort by big business to influence our government, which is the closest thing to a conspiracy we have, but even that falls short of a true 'conspiracy' in my opinion because it lacks a long term goal.Messenger said:a failed attempt to drive home his point, which BTW Hambil, will never be understood and never be taken into consideration until both of you choose to have some meaningful dialogue.
Messenger said:Thank you! I can't stand how many of them whine about stereotypes and cultural preconceptions without even bothering to question their own.
Of course, he barked up the wrong tree when he blacklisted so many in the entertainment industry, those who hold total sway over the opinions and perceptions of the American public.
Hey, moron, it doesn't matter if they where communists or not. The point is they HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE. What McCarthyism did was persecute people for their beliefs. Beliefs that are completely legal and constitutionally protected. You don't even know what McCarthyism was about, and you think I should look up the facts? Great, another one of "those" posters.Gurk_MacGuintey said:Actually, if you go back and review the record, McCarthy himself had little to do with exposing the marxist filth that still infects the entertainment industry. That was the result of HUAC investigations undertaken by other members of the Committee. McCarthy himself concentrated on known communist vermin who had infiltrated the highest levels of our government and military - and as the venona encryptions have irrefutably proven, he was absolutely, 100% correct about every single traitorous scumbag commie fuck he named.
Every single one.
Of course, useful idiots like your comrade Hambil will continue to believe in the fable of "The Dark Night of McCarthyism" that had a "chilling effect" on freedom and caused everyone to "live in fear". He'll probably run over to DailyKos or the Nation to have his artificial worldview reaffirmed rather than research the actual historical record.

The term conspiracy is very misguided and to be honest, used more often by the crazed fringe supporters of the idea, and its detractors.Hambil said:You want my point? There is no jewish conspiracy. Well said. However, I believe that simple problems and conflicts become entangled and in turn, create those complex problems. I don't think complex solutions are necessary. In fact, they usually cause more problems and are merely a band-aid.Does saying big business wants to control our government make me a communist? Of course not. Does saying health care for everyone is a good idea make me a socialist? Of course not. The world is not a black and white place. It is a complex place that requires complex solutions.
TQ has never stated anything of the sort. As for running the world? Well, I'll say that they have created a substantial umbrella for themselves at the cost of everyone in the first world. They don't run India or China. But they do run the countries which make it illegal to even discuss if 5,999,999 died or 6,000,000 , or whitewash the horrible crimes of the Jewish State. So as long as TQ believes the jews run the world, and gassing them will solve all our problems, I will never take him seriously - other than to make sure he and his ilk don't gain any real power.

This isn't 100% accurate. Big business can lobby and put cash in the pocket of any Congressional or Senatorial candidate they think might advance their goals.Gurk_MacGuintey said:You have it exactly backwards. There is a concerted effort by Big Government to control everything. Who "regulates" business? Government.
This is true. Also, it is a FACT that the people McCarthy named were PAID OPERATIVES of a foreign government engaged in espionage. They were traitors who committed treason.

The difference there, Messenger, is that they are supposed to want to spy on the more influential and important parts of this country. Hell, every country should keep an eye on other countries, keep them honest, tactically it's just good sense. However, the NSA has no business keeping tabs on phone calls made in this country. Phone calls made from consulates and embassies across this country? Why sure. But not Joe Average. Unless you think Joe average is fed up and might be thinking it's time for people to step up and put shit right? Guilty conscience maybe?Messenger said:Actually, Israel has many, many front companies in the United States, and has more than once attempted to circumvent security systems for information-gathering purposes.
I can't stand TKers who start bitching and whining that "oh, Bush is spying on me wah wah!" yet bring nothing up about Israeli and Chinese spying. Or perhaps they aren't as informed as they think (Not a potshot).
