The cannibals eat people because they "enjoy it". Or is it just that the writers couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation?

Being around all this horrible stuff has driven Gwen to take comfort in the arms or Owen the rapist. Eww! Doesn't really seem believable.

Ianto is pointless. Why did they take him with them?

So Hoshi (or whatever her name is) a lesbian or is just mind-controlled into lesbianism or is she bi or WHO CARES IT'S ADULT, OKAY, LOL SAME SEX KISSES?

It was alright I suppose.

What is the deal with Ianto? - My life is shit, I love a Cyberwoman, you killed her, OK I'll go back to polishing the glass table tops and clearing up Pizza.

I do wish they would stop calling it a cult hit. I see no evidence of this (apart from wierdly here in the MF!)

The London Paper(one of the city's numerous free rags) claimed in yesterdays edition that "Dr.Who fans have been in seventh heaven" since Torchwood began. So you're ecstatic whether you like it or not, OKAY?!

Last night's was quite good, I did like the twist that it wasn't an alien at all, but as usual there were lots and lots of stupid plot holes and contrivances. I mean, Torchwood are supposed to be Earth's(or Cardiff's) last line of defense against alien threats, so what do they do? ALL of them leave their hi-tech monitoring station and base of operations and go camping. where there've been a series of mysterious, unexplained murders. GREAT IDEA!

And Ianto really does seem completely pointless. Glyn pointless. At first I thought the writers were just being coy, and he'd turn out to have some cool power or a magic hat or SOMETHING so he wouldn't just be the tea lady. But no, next week is the last in the series and that's all he really is. And those aliens from the first episode, what're they called? Weavils or reapers or something that sounds like Reavers. They made them sound like a recurring enemy, but it doesn't look like they'll even be in the last episode.

I'm really trying to like this show. :(

Unless there has been 12 eps and they've been so great that it's only seemed like 6!
 
I want to be tortured with Torchwood. Will it ever come to America?
 
Has Doctor Who been doing good ratings in the states?
 
I think it does alright, it's on a cable channel so the ratings don't matter as much.. they still matter, but no one expects huge ratings from the SCI FI channel.
 
If they have a timeslot to fill they may as well stuff Torchwood up it.
 
they're going to move BSG from Friday night to Sunday night, so they could shove Torchwood in the Friday slot IF THEY'RE LISTENING TO ME RIGHT NOW WITH MY BRILLIANT IDEA
 
That would imply that Torchwood is somehow better than BSG and more deserving of that slot!

What time on Sundays. It better not interfere with Simpsons and Family Guy. Actually it doesn't matter for now. I just finished watching Season One and will be starting Season 2 shortly.

It's not changing to Sunday's till January, afaik. I reckon Torchwood will end up on BBC America fairly soon.
