Union Member & Arts Councillor would have been far more accurate and would have had the intended bite your post was trying to achieve.

Wow, you've really shown that you know what you're talking about. Maybe I should just abandon my political affiliation because I'm afraid to take a stand about anything.... Or, I could just see through the bullshit and take a stand against what I see is inherently wrong with both the right and the left. Or, you could be speaking about the all-important swing-voter-centrists, who are so wishy washy that they don't truly know anything about politics and then choose their candidate at the last minute out of whatever inspiration hits them in their all-too-thick skulls.
