Why don't they just take all the prisoners money, possessions & assets away, and dump them via helicopter into New Orleans? I assumed that was a vast Open Prison / Concentration Camp, so more humane than the lethal injection?

That wasn't saddam, it was one of his cohorts that got their head ripped off.

But they all got what they deserved. Hanging, electric chair, gas chamber, its all good from where I sit.

Why do we even care if a prisoner condemned to die dies humanely?

Personally, I don't care for the death penalty-- they should rot in prison for life. But if you're going to kill them, they don't deserve a peaceful death*.

*But you've got to be DAMNED sure that they don't wind up wrongfully executed.

I agree with that Lilac. But I also think execution should just be a way to keep room in prisons, and save some tax dollars for normal, non-mudering law abiding citizens. Cause using it as a deterrant to crime sure as hell ain't workin. Also, if some family member of a murder victim gets some kind of comfort out of knowing that the person who killed their relative(s) is no longer gonna get the chance to do so again, and may suffer during their death, or from the just the fact that they too have thier life cut short, then just let it be,. After all it is a LETHAL injection. So what if it hurts a little?

I'd like to see some public executions, myself. Shown during primetime.

Watching the fucker-in-question gag to death in a gas chamber would be a hell of an incentive not to do the same type of shit.
