Mine Field Celebrity Deathday Thread

Gutted and also slightly spooked. I Googled Peter Mayhew three or four days ago because I was suddenly worried about him for some reason. I've never done this before. Read a bit of his Twitter, saw he was doing fine and went on with my day. What a very odd coincidence. R.I.P. He was by all accounts a thoroughly lovely guy. :(

That'll do, Chewie. That'll do.

RIP Grumpy Cat.

It's from the heart.

The wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter has passed away. Beth Chapman.

When Alanis has her baby I am going to create a "Mine Field Celebrity birth thread" or something.

RIP Rip Torn (88), Artie from The Larry Sanders Show and Agent Zed from Men In Black 1/2

Whew, I thought it was going to be a Ross Perot post.

I was about to post about him.

Rip Torn was good in Men In Black.

Weirdly I was just thinking about how Martin was one of the funniest supporting characters (in the early seasons anyway) the other day. She did great work and I do have to take this opportunity to point out that when actors are dying of old age it's time to END THE SHOW.

They probably have a pact that they will end the show when the next one of the core cast (Castellaneta, Kavner, Cartwright, Smith, Azaria, Shearer) dies or quits (for real, not like Shearer quits every few years and they change his mind).
