I guess I kinda watched GH back then during summer breaks anyway. Campy as hell at times, especially John Colicos as Mikkos Cassadine and his Ice Princess weather control device or whatever it was.
 
Ah yes back when Elizabeth Taylor did a guest shot... people think film stars are all mixed up in TV nowadays, but they have always been, in some form.

Cloris Leachman was the Keiran Culkin of her day (1971) - she won an Emmy as a regular on Mary Tyler Moore the same year she won an Oscar for The Last Picture Show.

From what I have read he caused a lot of problems behind the scenes, wanting the show to be grimmer and more serious, wanting less Wilma.

That said as a kid I loved the show, it's a shame he didn't go on to do more things.
