This morning I was mostly OK. She had a good life, a long life, her husband died a few years back, and cancer is horrible. And then every time I see some new story or tribute I start crying again. The Pope should just canonize her and be done with it.
Hell. I've enjoyed Tim Curry but I was just the opposite of Kyehlar--he didn't hit the way Dolly did, but now Optimus Prime too?! Eff this.
Anyway, the reason I did pop back on was to make one last(?) Dolly observation: I read enough to hear it was cancer. I don't want to read anymore details, but I got to thinking about a year or two ago, how her sister(?) posted to social media to pray for her and the next day she got online and was like "calm down everyone, I'm not dying." I bet that's when they found out about the cancer and she decided to keep it quiet. And I guess I can't gainsay her wishes, but it was easier with Alex Trebek, where we knew it was coming so we could savor and appreciate those last "Jeopardy!" episodes all the more.
