The Seattle Mariners have reached an agreement on a one-year contract extension with starting pitcher Wade LeBlance.

The deal will pay him a guaranteed $2.75 million in 2019 and can increase to $4.75 with performance bonuses based on innings pitched.

The Cincinnati Reds traded right-hander Dylan Floro and a minor league pitcher to the Los Angeles Dodgers for two minor league pitchers.

Floro was 3-2 with a 2.72 earned-run average with 25 relief appearances this season with Cincinnati.

The Reds also optioned utility player Brandon Dixon to Triple A Louisville and recalled Tanner Rainey and Cody Reed from Louisville to bolster a depleted bullpen.
 
The NL East-leading Atlanta Braves activated closer Arodys Vizcaino from the disabled list.

The right-handed was placed on the DL on June 24 with inflammation in his right shoulder.

He was 2-2 with a 1.82 ERA and 15 saves in 17 chances this season.
 
Shortstop Alcides Escobar isn't in the Kansas City Royals' lineup Sunday and will end his consecutive games played streak at 421, which was the longest active streak in the majors.

It's the first game he will miss since Sept. 25, 2015.

With Escobar sitting, San Diego Padres' Freddy Galvis will hold the longest active consecutive game streak in 254 straight.
 
The Texas Rangers added a pair of veteran players Sunday, acquiring outfielder Austin Jackson and right-hander Cory Gearrin in a trade with the San Francisco Giants.

Jackson, 31, batted .242 with 13 RBI's in 59 games this season.

Gearrin, 32, posted a 4.20 ERA in 31 relief appearances.
 
The New York Yankees have agreed to a deal to acquire former All-Star reliever Zach Britton from the Baltimore Orioles for three minor league pitchers.

Britton, 30, has amassed 139 saves for the Orioles since 2013.

The Astros, Red Sox and Cubs was among several other clubs that had been pursuing Britton.
 
Reshaping their pitching staff for the stretch run, the New York Yankees acquire right-hander Lance Lynn from the Minnesota Twins while dealing Adam Warren to the Seattle Mariners.

Minnesota will give $2 million to the Yankees to cover half of the $4 million remaining in Lynn's $12 million salary.

The Houston Astros acquired suspended reliever Roberto Osuna from the Toronto Blue Jays that includes Astros closer Ken Giles.

Minor league pitchers Hector Perez and David Paulino are also headed to Toronto in the deal.
 
A baseball signed at the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame induction In 1939 by all of the inductees who attended the ceremony sold for $623,369, shattering the record of $388,375 in 2012 for a signed ball.

11 of the 12 men who were deemed the first group of greats, including Babe Ruth, Cy Young and Walter Johnson.

The signature missing is that of Lou Gehrig, who was too sick to attend the 1939 induction.

With his red socks pulled high to his knees, Jim Thome pointed his bat outward in his well-known stance before taking a swing and one last trip around the bases in the ballpark where his number is now on permanent display. Cleveland's Trevor Bauer, who is 12-6 with a 2.22 ERA and is among the AL leaders in ERA, innings pitched and strikeouts, will miss 4-6 weeks because of a fracture in his leg.

On Saturday, the Cleveland Indians retired Thome's No. 25, honoring the Hall of Fame slugger with an emotional pregame ceremony before dropping a 2-1 decision to the Baltimore Orioles, another of the six teams Thome played for from 1991 to 2012.
