I'M USING MY TV AS A MONITOR NOW.

IT'S TOO BIG THE COLOURS ARE ALL WRONG I'M IN HELL.

At least I can see the grey text on the black background now though...

You can probably adjust your computer SOMEHOW to make everything look better.

All I can think of is display setting and it doesn't make things smaller...

Did you check the resolution of the TV and then adjust the display setting to the correct resolution?

It looks better when I sit further away (but then I can't reach my keyboard or mouse.)

Well it's an old monitor of my sister's. There's no point me getting a bigger one because my computer's six years old and my video card (graphics card? I don't know anything about computers) wouldn't be able to handle a bigger screen. That's why it looked bad on my widescreen tv. But the colours still look wrong on this and I'll never get it back how I want it. I should get a new computer really?

Everything has a weird tint to it maybe OR SOMETHING.

I usually buy a new computer every three years AND IT'S BEEN 3 1/2 YEARS :scared:

But I don't want Windows 8, so I'm going to have to buy some customized deal that will cost more money and have Win 7 Pro loaded on it. Also, I've been buying crazy-loaded laptops the last few times for better portabiility, but I'm wondering if I should get a way=loaded desktop PC and then use a tablet for lightweight stuff I DON'T KNOW I HATE THIS CENTURY.
