NASCAR:

Christopher Bell wins at Iowa for fourth Xfinity victory of year
Bell led 186 of 250 laps to claim his second short-track victory of 2019 by nearly two seconds. He also won at Bristol in April.

Truck Series victory overturned; first since 1999
Its toughened new policy on cheating when Brett Moffitt was declared the winner of the Truck Series race at Iowa Speedway after Ross Chastain failed a postrace inspection. NASCAR said the most recent time it disqualified an apparent race winner was April 17, 1960

Martin Truex Jr. holds off Kyle Busch to defend Sonoma title
Truex won on the hilly road course at Sonoma Raceway for the second consecutive year and the third time in his career, comfortably holding off Busch for JGR's 10th victory of the season. Truex won for the fourth time in the past eight points-paying races, earning his 23rd career victory overall.

Ross Chastain scores Truck Series win week after DQ
Chastain grabbed track position with a gas-only last pit stop in Niece Motorsports' No. 45 Chevrolet.

It's time to give the man some room to do the work that needs to be done, a task no less challenging than turning a battleship in a bathtub. It's time to stop acting like the man gripping the steering wheel of stock car racing is a disconnected suit who doesn't know what real racing is. It's time to stop punishing the present leader for the sins of NASCAR's past and time to begin recognizing him for what he is: the man whom the founding royal bloodline of the sanctioning body believes can lead their sport back from the depths it has trolled during so many recent days.

It's time to give NASCAR president Steve Phelps a break
