NCIS 2006 finally

I thought last night's episode was good, but I got a weird vibe from the Gibbs' doctor. Something's off about him.

Not too keen on the amnesiac plotline, though.

That's the trend on NCIS and other cop shows...the freaky acting guy who's right in the middle of things is usually the culprit.

Me either, though it was cool to get a little backstory on Jethro Gibbs. So far, all we knew was that he was a former Marine sniper, a gunnery sergeant, married three times, and used to be like DeNozzo.

I'm all for good doctors who remember their patients, but it's just too much of a coincidence that he treated him during the Gulf War. Plus, he was giving what's-her-name (Lauren Holly) weird looks.

Loved the mini cat fight, though.

I thought it was WAY to coincedental having the same Dr.

Remember though, We don't know if the body "Sitting in the barrel" was the person Gibbs was talking to, And the Lez chick's brain farts don't add up (character wise).

Oh, and .... Something else i forgot.

Anyway, I think the sting was a setup (duh),
When Gibbs was in the coma before, the Dr. set a post-hypnotic suggestion, and triggered it while here this time.
The Dr. is in with the assassin hired to kill Gibbs' family, and hearing about this sting was an opportunity to get revenge or finish the job.

Maybe. I think the Doctor is just weird 'cause he's got wood for the redhead, which who can blame him? For an older chick, she's highly hittable.

It seemed like they were skirting reeeeal close to a retcon on Gibbs' "three ex-wives" thing. Typically by ex-wife one assumes divorce, not dead. Still, I could picture Gibbs as The Punisher turned old and grey. lol

The doctor was in Kuwait while the family was murdered back in the States. Additionally, he only treated Gibbs in Kuwait at a MASH, and then Gibbs was shipped back to a real hospital (probably Germany, if memory serves).

Ewww...I don't find Lauren Holly attractive at all anymore. In "Dumb & Dumber" and "Beautiful Girls" she was rather striking, but she's not aging well, in my humble opinion. :)

But, what do I know...I'm just a simple looking gal. <g>

Then why the "coinsidence" of having him here, now?

Well, that is kind of a long shot coincidence, but maybe coincidence is all it is. Maybe not, though, 'cause you sometimes can't tell exactly where the writers are going with any given thing on that show.

Short story format: there are no coincidences.
red herrings yes, coinsidences no.

^^Could be the initial attending physician called him in specifically because he'd been Gibbs's doctor on the previous identical coma. I'll have to rewatch the episode and see if it's mentioned how and why he showed up.
