New Stuff

finally, I think I'm finished this one. Yes it's still wet ( ^%$#@ oils.)
I'm doing a series of people playing different musical instruments.
My shitty photography has some how caught light glaring on the hands, but actually the hands look very good. One thing about oils is you can really layer and blend colours.

meh, this camera shot came out sorta smallish - you probably can't see the details - pencil sketch - guy's got glasses, earring, and a bandana -the angles were a good challenge.
Did this yesterday afternoon cuz I was feeling lazy and stayed in.

I love your colors on the first one; vibrant and contemplative! The hair is really impressive... your anatomy is strong as is a conscious awareness of your light source. I'm very impressed with this piece!

I would have liked to see a little more close-up version of the penciled piece... but, what I can see, your control of light/dark gives a real weight to your figure and I love the implied movement of the character as he sits, somewhat hunched over, strumming his guitar. He seems very focused.
