The 45-year-old finishes his career with 209 goals and 680 points in 1,680 games over 24 seasons with the New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Bruins and Washington Capitals before returning to the Isles for the 2021-22 season.
 
Czech government tells NHL that Russian players unwanted in Prague
It may not amount to an outright ban and league officials downplayed the potential impact. Sanheim, 26, led Flyers defensemen in assists (24), was tied for first in points (31) and second in goals (7) and shots last season. He was selected by Philadelphia 17th overall in the 2014 NHL draft and made his NHL debut in 2017.
 
Vegas foward Phil Kessel sets NHL record for consecutive games
The 35-year-old winger has now appeared in 990 consecutive games, a streak that started Nov. 3, 2009.

Keith Yandle, who retired before the start of the 2022-23 season, extended his streak to 989 games before it ended March 29, 2022. Prior to Yandle, the previous record holder was former Montreal Canadiens forward Doug Jarvis, who appeared in 964 games in a streak that ended Oct. 10, 1987.

Sedin twins, Luongo, Alfredsson among Hockey HOF inductees
The Sedin twins and Luongo were elected in their first years of eligibility back in June, while Alfredsson had waited since 2017. The induction of the Sedins and Alfredsson increased the number of Swedish players in the hall from four to seven.
