No. I think the movie should be shelved until the criminals are apprehended and their threats no longer valid. Then I think the criminals should be tied to a movie theater seat, soda pop and popcorn force fed to them, their eyes forced open, and the movie played for them non-stop at a high volume until the criminals are dead. After their corpses have sat in their own feces and urine for 30 days and 30 nights, the theater should be burned to the ground and then the ground salted. I will pray that they have a fortunate rebirth.
 
From the trailers, it looked like a very stupid movie. It probably wouldn't have made it past Saturday in the theaters. Now, the insurance company will fork out a small fortune to Sony since they can't show the movie due to threats of terrorism, which, if they showed the movie and theaters blew up they'd be exposed to massive civil lawsuits. The terrorist threats have also made the movie an underground/black market hot commodity so more money is going to be made off that movie than it would have ever made had it made it to the theater. Then, in a few years, it will make it to the theater and people who haven't seen it will buy into the sensationalism it will be marketed under and the movie will make even more money.

Do you honestly think NK has the ability to attack people in america?

In a cinema you are a million times more likely to be killed by the guy sitting next to you than any terrorist.

And if by some mirical they did pull it off, NKs allies would probably be so appalled they would wash their hands of them and give america free reign to retaliate.
 
The torrent's already being pirated/distributed. There will be no need for the so-called release, and it'll do better in cyberspace than any theater. Shitty movie anyway, at least they'll get their money back this way.

Less than a week after Sony pulled “The Interview” from theaters, the studio has reversed itself and set a limited theatrical release in the United States on Christmas Day.
“We have never given up on releasing ‘The Interview’ and we’re excited our movie will be in a number of theaters on Christmas Day,” said Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Entertainment in a statement. “At the same time, we are continuing our efforts to secure more platforms and more theaters so that this movie reaches the largest possible audience.”

It was a shitty film...I dont know what copy I received but it was almost 2 hours of slap together scenes and bizarre soundtrack choices...like Katy Perry next to Sister Nancy

Savagery and torture in response to the evils of the world has been proven to be a rather ineffective strategy. It's revenge porn. If as a society we want to be as brutal as possible in response then the game is lost.

As for this whole fiasco... it's all a bit surreal. The idea of James Franco and Seth Rogen sitting around getting totally baked and coming up with this fucking terrible idea for a film and then actually making it and it then pissing off a lunatic man-child dictator is a way more interesting story than anything the shitty film can muster.

Nobody actually knows who hacked Sony and their knee jerk reaction was pathetic but we need to gain some perspective here. The whole thing is like a real life satire. I read this story the other day and then the next article was about an anti-gay preacher with the surname GAYLARD being caught soliciting men for sex. I had to lie down and have a nap in hopes the world would stop breaking the fourth wall and stop being so absurd for a minute.
 
Someone took the PSN down on the day I got my kid a PS3, bunch of twats.

Good job we still had lego, and single player games.
